Personal
Brian is a lifelong West Virginian, he has been actively involved in youth sports, church activities, and civic life in Mercer County. He and his wife, Connie, have been married for more than 30 years and have raised three children in the county.

Awarded American Legion Police Officer of the Year. United States Attorney's Department of Justice Award for Meritorious Service.
Legal
Admitted to the WV State Bar in 2007. Practiced law in both public and private sectors. Served as the City of Bluefield WV Attorney as well as an associate in private practice. Twice elected as Prosecuting Attorney in Mercer County. Currently serving as Circuit Court Judge.
Education
Holds a Juris Doctor from Appalachian School of Law and holds degrees in criminal justice and liberal arts from Fairmont State College, Marshall University, and Glenville State College.
Law Enforcement
Served 16 years in law enforcement with 12 years as a West Virginia State Trooper.
